A while back, long before I became a bankruptcy lawyer in the great state of Arizona, I lived in London, England. If you have ever been to London you know that the streets there are nothing like the master planned communities found here in the Phoenix area. There is no order or structure to the streets.
After struggling to navigate the city for some time I was finally told that I needed to buy an A to Z (pronounced “zed” for my British friends). The A to Z was a pocket map of London that resembled your typical paperback book. It had an index of all the streets of London – no matter how small – and coordinates on a corresponding map. With the A to Z in tow there wasn’t a street in the city I couldn’t find.
Just at the A to Z helped me navigate the streets of London, over the next several days I will be writing A to Z for bankruptcy. Literally writing an article on bankruptcy for every letter in the alphabet. If you have ever looked into filing bankruptcy or thumbed through the bankruptcy code, you know that filing for bankruptcy can be like trying to find a street in London. My goal with these articles is to give you some insight into the bankruptcy process here in Arizona and hopefully ease your mind if you find yourself needing to file for bankruptcy.
